Phil lives on the prairie's edge with his wife and tractor, seven dogs, seven cats, for balance and symmetry.  
A total of 11 are rescued.  He has been the director of a state occupational health laboratory in Olympia, 
Washington for over thirty years.  Yes, that's a long time, but the lucky enjoy what they do for a living.  
He is a board member of the Olympia Poetry Network and likes to look for rocks in the Oregon desert.
